Lukáš Likavčan’s areas of expertise span environmental philosophy and the philosophy of science and technology. He currently works at New York University in Shanghai and as a visiting researcher at the Leiden University Astronomical Observatory. He is the author of Introduction to Comparative Planetology, in which he analyzes visual cultures of Earth imagery from the perspective of the geopolitics of the climate crisis; he compares different "figures" of the planet and assesses their geopolitical implications. He is also a member of the working group of the More-than-Planet project under the auspices of Waag Futurelab.
