Marie Heřmanová is a social anthropologist working at the University College London and the Faculty of Social Sciences at Charles University in the UK. Her research focuses on social media, content creators, and their role in political communication. She examines how social media shapes discussions on important social issues, whom people trust on the internet and why, and what role gender inequality (among other factors) plays in this. She occasionally writes for the media about the internet, pop culture, and gender.
