Barbora Bírová is an anthropologist and director of the Platform for Social Housing. She is responsible for the strategic leadership of the organisation and ensures that all activities and plans effectively contribute to its main goal – ending homelessness in the Czech Republic. As a co-author, she contributed to the publications Prague Housing Crisis (2024), A Systemic Solution to Housing Insecurity for Families and Individuals at the Municipal Level (2019), and the collective monograph Homelessness and Public Space (2019). In 2018, she organised the travelling photography exhibition Images without a Home, created between 2012 and 2016 through participatory work with people with lived experience of homelessness. She occasionally gives lectures at various universities and public events.
