Daniel Prokop is a sociologist and the founder of PAQ Research, a research organization focusing on education, social and tax policy, inequalities, and regional disparities in the Czech Republic. He has long explored why some regions and the people living in them remain on the margins of Czech prosperity, and what reforms could improve their prospects. He addresses these issues in his new book Spravedlivý růst (Fair Growth) (2026), which builds on the themes explored in his previous book Slepé skvrny (Blind Spots) (2019). Prokop also contributed to the development of the Education Strategy 2030+ and served on the National Economic Council of the Government.
