Eliška Švarná is a historian, archivist, doctoral student at the Institute of Czech History at Charles University, and an employee of the Masaryk Institute and Archives of the Czech Academy of Sciences. She focuses on technical interventions in the landscape and the transformation of the environment in the Czech lands in the 20th century. She focuses in particular on contemporary approaches to water resource management, the planning and implementation of large water structures, and their ideological, political, socio-economic, and cultural implications.
