Fatma Mohamed Mokhtar Husain is a Sudanese doctor and human rights defender. She graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at Karar University in 2022 and worked in a Turkish hospital before the war. After the military coup, she joined the People's Legal Aid Centre, where she educates citizens on human rights laws. Fatma has coordinated projects with Amnesty International and Doctors Without Borders (MSF) and trained lawyers and medical staff in documenting rights violations and SGBV protocols. During the war, she co-founded the AlKalaklat emergency room, focusing on women's health and epidemic monitoring, which provided medical care and support to communities in Khartoum.
