Hana Nguyen is a student of theater dramaturgy, who works in the field of AI and is primarily artistically active in slam poetry. In 2024, she published a collection of poems entitled Co by tomu řekli doma (What Would They Say at Home), which made it onto the longlist for the Jiří Orten Award. She also works as a translator and is currently translating a collection by Vietnamese-American poet Ocean Vuong.
She began her career in journalism while still a student. Although she studied territorial studies at the Faculty of Social Sciences of Charles University and has a keen interest in foreign affairs, she focuses primarily on domestic politics in her professional life. She first entered the Chamber of Deputies at the beginning of 2021, at that time as a reporter for TV Seznam. Since then, she has spent more time at Sněmovní 1 than at home. She followed events on the political scene for almost three years in the editorial office of Události České televize. After the parliamentary elections in 2025, she joined the editorial office of the weekly magazine Respekt.
