Jan Spratek is an expert with a focus on cosmonautics at the Prague Observatory and Planetarium, where he led the team that sent the Planetum-1 satellite into the Earth’s orbit. He also creates educational programs about space and cosmonautics for students and teachers and lectures throughout the Czech Republic. In the past, he worked in the European Space Agency (ESA) Education Office, whose offices are now re-opening in Prague and Brno, and was Programme Director of the Mobile Planetarium. Together with Vojtěch Koval, he is the face of the Czech Space News podcast and is a recipient of the ESA Champion award.
