Jan V. Mušuta is an education policy expert and programme director at EDUin, a Czech non-profit for education information and advocacy. He spent nine years at the Czech Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports – six of them as a department director. His work focuses on equal access to education, teacher support and school management. He contributed to the reform of teacher training and to the preparation of index-based school funding, led teams, and helped design and advance systemic changes in regional schooling. He has long drawn attention to regional inequalities in access to schools and argues that policy measures should be targeted, well managed and evaluated.
