Magda Kopańska (PL) is a social anthropologist from Warsaw, Poland, who is concerned with current issues of mobility and labour, with a focus on the field of intra-European migration. Her research practice involves qualitative methods, particularly tools from visual anthropology, including photography, sensory ethnography, and participatory methods. She collaborates on interdisciplinary creations, merging art and creative techniques with academically informed concepts. Magda is a graduate of art history and culture management (Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw 2018-2021), as well as of anthropology (University of Warsaw 2020-2023), currently based in Vienna, Austria, where she obtained an MA in Sociology and Social Anthropology at Central European University (2023-2025).
