Penelope Cain's (AU/NL) practice centres around air, earth and watery storytellings from the Anthropocene and Post-Carbon; occupied, colonised, extracted and transformed lands. Drawing on her biological science background, she works across digital media and knowledge streams, with scientists, datasets, people and residues in storytellings, future-fables and emergent speculative mythologies, from more-than-human entry points, and other-than-human ways of knowing and worlding. She works with glaciers as historians, wind as agents, and birds as memory-keepers. Originally from Sydney she lives and works in the Netherlands.
