Petr Vizina is a journalist who studied theology and currently teaches at the Catholic Theological Faculty of the Charles University. He is the editor-in-chief of Quartal magazine, published by the Prague City Gallery. He writes interviews, commentaries, and critical reviews for the Aktuálně.cz website and Czech Radio. For seven years, he was head of the cultural department of Czech Television. He is also a laureate of the Josef Dobrovský Prize. Vizina is the author of a number of books, including a collection of interviews with Czech artists, “Stará garda” (The Old Guard, 2016), Lydie Tischlerová's memoirs, “Se žlutou hvězdou v prázdném kupé” (With a Yellow Star in an Empty Compartment, 2021), a book of interviews on spirituality “Znamení neznámého” (Signs of the Unknown, 2021), and a book of interviews with artist Krištof Kintera “Nad očekávání” (Beyond Expectations, 2022).
