Zdeněk Stachoň is an Associate Professor at the Institute of Geography, Faculty of Science, Masaryk University. His research focuses on cartographic visualization, user aspects of maps, and the use of new technologies, including virtual reality, in cartography. He is President of the Czech Cartographic Society and Vice-Chair of the User Experience Commission of the International Cartographic Association.
