Housing is not just a question of apartment prices or rent levels. It also reveals who gets to decide what a city looks like, who owns the land and buildings, and whose interests ultimately get presented as the public interest. This panel connects housing insecurity, property development, and unequal access to decision-making with the everyday experiences of city residents. How can “legal” agreements create exclusion and unequal power? And who has enough money, time, contacts, and legal support to genuinely influence the place where they live?
