How can we identify where the landscape is at risk of drought, erosion or flooding, and what can we do about it? In this workshop, we will work with publicly available maps and data and look for opportunities for concrete changes in our surroundings. We will see what historical maps can tell us about today’s landscape, how to read vulnerable areas from data, and how to design adaptation measures. We will also discuss how to talk about changes with the people who use and manage the landscape, and how to actually kickstart these changes at the local level. Participants will leave the workshop with shared notes and a practical syllabus.
