Filip Brychta is a reporter at Voxpot covering the African continent. Alongside his reporting, analysis, and interviews, he produces the podcast Afrika (Africa) and runs the only newsletter dedicated to Africa in Czechia. His take on African affairs steers clear of stereotypes and colonial thinking. He studied Media Studies at Masaryk University and is now pursuing African Studies at the University of Hradec Králové. He approaches Africa from a range of angles — writing about art, sport, and history — and regularly gives talks at schools to bring the continent closer to Czech audiences.
