Ondřej Lánský deals with the relationship between politics and society. He focuses on the analysis of the role of oligarchy and elites in the contemporary world. Specifically, he studies the influence of elite theories in Czech and Central European social and political thought, and he also focuses on postcolonial thought and critical theory. He heads the Department of Civic Education and Philosophy at the Faculty of Education of Charles University and the Department of Political Philosophy and Research on Globalization at the Institute of Philosophy of the CAS. He is the author of Is Liberalism to be Rejected? (2015).
