Zuzana Harmáčková co-leads the Department of Social-Ecological Analysis at the Global Change Research Institute of the Czech Academy of Sciences (CzechGlobe). Together with a team of colleagues, she deals with the creation and analysis of future development scenarios, the analysis of social-ecological systems, and resilience research in collaboration with experts, policy representatives, and public stakeholders across various cultural and geographical contexts (Czechia, Europe, Central Asia, Africa). She long-term contributes to the activities of international science-policy platforms (e.g., IPBES and IPCC) that improve the transfer of sustainability knowledge between researchers and policymakers. She teaches at the Faculty of Science, Charles University, the Faculty of Science, Palacký University in Olomouc, and the Faculty of Social Studies, Masaryk University.
