On Sunday morning, 30 film festival attendees entered the Rehearsal Room of the Horácký Theatre. In the preceding days, they had exposed their hearing, sight, attitudes, and beliefs to the discussions of the Inspiration Forum and the festival documentaries—experiences that could evoke strong emotions and a desire to share them with others. The facilitated meeting, held in the Open Space format, allowed us to engage in a joint discussion about the pressing issues of today's world, as raised by the forum and the festival. Together, we identified the topics that concerned us and that we wanted to explore further. We then organized the discussion program into two blocks of three groups and devoted ourselves to the conversations. From the proposed questions, we ultimately discussed the following: How can we increase our resilience? How can we work with privilege? How can we establish new alliances? How can we imagine positive examples of masculinity in communities? Is violence in activism moral? How can we strengthen the courage for respect and open communication in the workplace? After three hours, we concluded the meeting and, with it, our exploration of these six questions. The 30 participants who engaged in shared learning closed the session with their personal reflections.
We look forward to meeting you at the next edition of the Inspiration Forum— on behalf of the facilitation team from the NaZemi organization, Dan Vykoukal and Kristýna Hrubanová.
