Inspiration Forum

The Sixth Season of Screenshot is Here! Tune in for Conversations on War, Care, AI, Forests and the Invisible World of the Microbiome with Pavla Hubálková

Where will our dreams of the future take us—and who might we leave behind along the way? What does it mean when something is called “smart”—a household, technology… or even war? And how can we change the world without repeating past mistakes? The Screenshot podcast series from the Jihlava Documentary Film Festival’s Inspiration Forum brings you some of the most thought-provoking conversations from across the globe. In this new season, science journalist Pavla Hubálková dives into the ideas of environmental philosopher Timothy Morton, feminist theorist Helen Hester, economist Nick Srnicek, lawyer Kirthi Jayakumar, and activist Cheryl Maloney.

Special episodes will also feature recordings of select discussions from last year’s Forum, presented in their original form.

Pavla Hubálková is dedicated to the popularization and communication of science. She works for the online magazine WIRED.cz and also publishes in a number of other media outlets, including Hospodářské noviny, Vědavýzkum.cz or Czexpats in Science. She is also the co-author of the first Czech-language book on science communication, Science Communication: Introduction to Science Communication.

Find us every Wednesday on the inspiracniforum.cz/podcast website, Apple Podcast, Spotify and Deník Referendum podcast platforms.

The episodes are primarily in the Czech language.
